*** CANCELED: Due to community health concerns surrounding COVID-19 we will be canceling Our Lady. In place of this program, Classical KING FM 98.1 will be broadcasting this concert LIVE on Fri Mar 20 at 8:00pm. We hope you will tune in!
These are unprecedented times. The necessary measures taken to ease the strain of COVID-19 on our healthcare system have taken an enormous toll on our economy, the effects of which have trickled down to impact arts organizations in an unprecedented way—we are reminded how economically connected we are. Instead of rescheduling, we have decided to bring this program to the digital world where we as a community will have to live for a while. Arts organizations will have to find a way to survive in this new space for the foreseeable future.
Here's how you can help:
1. Consider your ticket purchase for this concert as a donation.
2. Purchase a "Virtual Ticket" to the broadcast!
3. Make a donation to the Byrd Ensemble
We know this is a difficult time for everyone, so we will honor refunds for this program.
Thank you for your support. We are still committed, now more than ever, to share with you the beauty of Renaissance music.

This program features Renaissance and contemporary motets dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Music by Renaissance composers Josquin, Tomás Luis de Victoria, and Palestrina are juxtaposed with music by contemporary composers Arvo Pärt and Gabriel Jackson. The centerpiece of the program are two settings of the Salve regina: the first by Renaissance English composer William Cornysh, and Gabriel Jackson's setting, based on Cornysh's setting.
